Conciertos gratuitos en MacArthur Park
Levitt Pavilions, la serie de conciertos gratuitos en Los Ángeles, comienza con Ozomatli el 8 de junio, seguido el 10 de julio por el guitarrista Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright III, el 17 de julio y Radiotron el 26 de julio. Habrá un festival de música latina de tres días de agosto 1 a 3 con Sonora Santanera, Chavos de la Cumbia y José-Luis Orozco y amigos. Habrá un saludo al 50 aniversario de Los Beatles por el Omega Cuarteto el 16 de agosto y al final el banda de rock latino-soul-jazz Quetzal el 29 de Agosto.
Los conciertos de Los Ángeles llevan a cabo en la concha acústica Levitt en el Parque MacArthur, 2230 W. 6th St., Junto con la música este año incluirán otras actividades, como círculos de tambores, un KidZone en cada concierto, KidSpace Museo y sesiones del segundo escenario con músicos locales.
Street Food Cinemas to screen ‘Pulp Fiction’
Street Food Cinema comes to the Pomona Fairplex Saturday, June 14 with a screening of “Pulp Fiction.” Side note: can you believe it’s been 20 years since the movie first came out? I feel old.
The night will include a live performance by Fly Johnson at 6:30 p.m. The film starts at 8 p.m.
Food Trucks that will be on hand include Cousins Maine Lobster, Greenz on Wheelz, Crepes Bonaparte, Grill ‘Em All and more. A number of different vendors will also be on hand. You can bring in your own food, but no glass bottles or cans are allowed. And no outside alcohol.
General admission tickets are $12. If you want a reserved seat, tickets are $17.

Experiencia Deportiva
Presentado por KVEA Telemundo 52 “Experiencia Deportiva”, regresa en su novena edición este domingo 8 de junio. El evento ofrece un día de diversión que incluye entretenimiento, música y comida latina con toda la acción de sus deportes favoritos, concentrados en un solo lugar. Entre las actividades interactivas que habrá disponible para los niños se encuentran la tirolesa, el tobogán, un muro para escalar y torneos 3 a 3 de futbol, entre otras.
Los asistentes también podrán disfrutar de secciones dedicadas a sus equipos favoritos, al igual que personalidades de varios equipos deportivos como Los Ángeles Clippers, Galaxy Star Squad y Chivas USA entre otros. Como invitados especiales habrá varias personalidades de Telemundo inlcuyendo Dunia Elvir & Julio Vaqueiro del Noticiero Telemundo 52, Leti Coo, presentadora y reportera de Ritmo Deportivo y Raúl González.
Todo se lleva a cabo el domingo 8 de junio de 11 a.m. a 6 p.m. en Salt Lake Park ubicado en el 3401 E. Florence Ave. en la ciudad de Huntington Park. La entrada es libre.
Chalk Art Contest
A Chalk Art Contest will be in full swing as attendees stroll along Sycamore Street between 4th & 5th Street in Santa Ana listening to a diverse selection of live music acts.
Along with the contest and live entertainment, onlookers can shop at the various retail and art booths or grab a tasty treat at the food vender and food truck of their choice.
The iconic and colorful “Calle Cuatro” was chosen as the events theme by the Santa Ana Business Council and MC Gallery – producers and organizers of the event.
This event, the first of it’s kind in Santa Ana, gives locals and visitors the opportunity to soak up the lively community atmosphere unique to this city.
It all takes place on Saturday June 7th, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
