Las estrellas del Real Madrid acapararán la atención en la Copa de la Paz

El francés Benzema es el nuevo galáctico del Real Madrid que estará presente en la Copa de la Paz.

La presencia del Real Madrid y sus últimos fichajes ‘galácticos’, el portugués Cristiano Ronaldo, el brasileño Kaká o el francés Karim Benzema, será uno de los grandes atractivos de la IV Copa de la Paz, que se disputará en distintos estadios españoles y por primera vez fuera de Corea del Sur.

Este torneo internacional, considerado como uno de los más importantes del calendario y avalado por la FIFA, reúne a doce destacados equipos europeos, americanos y asiáticos del 24 de julio al 2 de agosto, día éste en el que se disputará la final en el Estadio Olímpico de La Cartuja, en Sevilla.

La competición, ideada en la República de Corea, tiene como objetivo la búsqueda de la paz mediante la práctica del fútbol, con el que se pretende el intercambio cultural y fomentar la deportividad, por lo que sus beneficios económicos van destinados a obras sociales en los países menos desarrollados.

El campeón de su primera edición, la disputada en 2003, fue el PSV Eindhoven holandés, que superó en la final al Olympique de Lyon francés, mientras que en la segunda, en 2005, fue el Tottenham Hotspur inglés el vencedor al superar también al Olympique.

La edición precedente a ésta, la de 2007, el conjunto de Lyon, que no ha faltado a ninguna de las cuatro citas, logró el título al imponerse en la final al Bolton Wanderers inglés.

En el Grupo A del torneo se han emparejado dos equipos que esta temporada disputarán la Liga de Campeones de Europa, el Sevilla FC, y la Juventus de Turín, uno de los grandes de Italia y que esta pasada campaña quedó segundo en el Calcio.

Completa el grupo el Seongnam Ihwa, que es el equipo más laureado de Corea del Sur y uno de los más reconocidos en el continente asiático.
