Una fiesta ‘hermosa’ en fin de semana festivo

Since 1972, the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced Fiesta Hermosa, as the largest arts & crafts fair in Southern California. Over 300 artists and crafters are featured, including painters, photographers, ceramicists, jewelers, sculptors, and handicrafters. The festival will take place this weekend starting on Saturday August 29 until Monday Sept. 1 in downtown Hermosa Beach, California. Music and Chili Fest on tap for September

The Music, Beer, Wine and Chili Festival returns to the Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre on Saturday, Sept. 13. Guests can sample a variety of chili or bring their cooking skills to the table and enter a chili cook-off. Hosted by Temecula radio station 101.3 FM, the event will feature beer from local craft breweries such as Hangar 24 and Bulldog Brewery as well as wine from Monte De Oro and La Rebelde wineries, among others. Two stages will feature live music throughout the day, including Alana Blair, Ocean Hands and Bon Jovi tribute band Wanted. Some of the proceeds will benefit the Ramona Bowl. Horror en el cementerio

La obra de arte de Stanley Kubrick, “The Shining”, considerada por muchos como una de las películas más espantosas de todos los tiempos y basada en el libro de Stephen King “The Shining”, se estará proyectando en Sunnyside Cemetery ubicado en el 1095 E Willow St. de la ciudad de Long Beach.

El evento está siendo organizado por Lola’s Outdoor Retro Cinema y Sunnyside Cemetery, la función será la última de las proyecciones cinematográficas del verano. La función comienza a las 8:30 p.m. y es apta para todas la edades, pero las personas menores de 17 años deben estar acompañadas de un adulto. Las entradas tienen un costo de $10.
